Site Challenge
A quick-service restaurant build runs on a tight schedule, so compaction and concrete testing had to be on site when each lift of fill and each pour happened, with results back fast enough that the contractor never waited on the lab.
Work Performed
Quartet Engineers provided construction materials testing for the new Smalls Sliders restaurant in Conroe: field density testing on building pad and paving subgrade compaction, and concrete sampling, slump, air and cylinder testing on the foundation and site concrete, with cylinders cured and broken in Quartet's A2LA-accredited laboratory.
Deliverables
Daily field reports, compaction test reports and concrete compressive strength reports documenting that the site work met the project specifications.
