Slope-stability evaluation and erosion-control assessment for a creek-side slope — site observation and stabilization recommendations.
Scope
Slope-stability evaluation and erosion-control assessment for a creek-side slope — site observation and stabilization recommendations.
Site Challenge
A creek-side slope was losing soil to erosion and showed signs of instability. The owner needed to know whether the slope could fail, what was driving the movement, and what stabilization would hold before investing in repairs.
Work Performed
Quartet Engineers' engineers observed the slope and creek bank in the field, documented erosion, seepage and surface movement, and evaluated the stability of the existing slope. From that assessment the team developed practical stabilization and erosion-control recommendations suited to the site.
Deliverables
A slope-stability and erosion-control assessment report with field observations, findings on the causes of movement, and stabilization recommendations.
