Scope

Geotechnical investigation for the Grace Landing residential subdivision — field borings, laboratory testing, and lot/pavement foundation recommendations.

Site Challenge

A residential subdivision needs foundation recommendations that work lot by lot and pavement sections that will hold up on Houston's expansive clay, all from one investigation run before the lots are built out.

Work Performed

Quartet Engineers drilled field borings across the Grace Landing subdivision, sampled and logged the soils, and ran classification and strength testing in its A2LA-accredited laboratory. The engineering team then developed foundation recommendations for the residential lots and pavement recommendations for the subdivision streets.

Deliverables

A sealed geotechnical engineering report with boring logs, laboratory results, lot foundation recommendations and street pavement sections for the Grace Landing subdivision.
