Site Challenge
Production homebuilding needs foundation recommendations that hold up across many lots and arrive quickly enough to keep pace with the construction schedule, on soils that swell and shrink with the seasons.
Work Performed
Quartet Engineers drilled soil borings at the Gehan Homes site, sampled and logged the subsurface, and ran classification and strength testing in its A2LA-accredited laboratory. The engineering team developed foundation design recommendations for the residential construction from the field and laboratory data.
Deliverables
A sealed geotechnical engineering report with boring logs, laboratory results and foundation design recommendations for the Gehan Homes residential construction.
